About
I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor (Ramón y Cajal Fellow) in Political Science at the University of Barcelona.
My research focuses on the conceptual and comparative study of nationalism, territorial politics, and language politics. I now emphasise state actors and institutions, having examined sub-state mobilisation in the past.
While born and bred in Barcelona, I spent a decade in Edinburgh, my second home. I did my MSc in Nationalism Studies and my PhD in Political Sociology at the University of Edinburgh. I also worked on several projects at the Centre on Constitutional Change.
Before joining the Political Science Department at the UB, I was a Beatriu de Pinós postdoctoral researcher at the Institutions and Political Economy Research Group (IPERG). The Beatriu de Pinós is part of the MSCA-COFUND EU Programme Grant.
